the said Menashih Abdulla Joseph was employed as Mercantile

Assistant in the Mercantile Firm of Messrs. David Sassoon and

Company at Hongkong for 8 years, namely, from the year 1886

to the year 1894 and that he then retired from his said em-

ployment and resided in Hongkong until the 14th day of May

1903 when he died in Hongkong That your Petitioner's

mother never resided in Hongkong but resided in Bagdad for many years and subsequently in India and in Shanghai and died

at the last named place on the 29th day of September 1913.

YOUR PETITIONER therefore humbly prays that

Your Excellency will take the above facts into

consideration and will be graciously pleased

to grant to him a Certificate of Naturalization

under the British Nationality and Status of

Aliens Act, 1914.

And your Petitioner will ever pray, etc.
